Wow, what a storm this morning!

There must have been a tornado somewhere. I watched the rain change directions from hitting the rear of the house to the front of the house so fast it made me think there has to be rotation somewhere. We lost power and have several large branches down blocking the road. We went out and moved one of them that was across the road into our driveway but a bigger one at the corner is still attached to the tree and blocking half the road. Today will be a fun day of cleanup for a lot of people!

And it looks like we're getting ready for another round of storms shortly. :-?

SolattaTee 08-02-2009 10:15 AM

i hear thunder in the distance but a little drizzle here

SupermanX24 08-02-2009 11:11 AM

looking at the radar on weather.com. Looks like it should be out of the state in an hour or so. I hear there's potential for nickel size hail..

cdacda13 08-02-2009 11:28 AM

Its been raining solidly for the last 4 hours here.

LTb1ow 08-02-2009 11:29 AM

Been a nice dark morning of no rain or anything.

Sucks cause I have a test to do, and this weather is going to make me actually do it...

JL8Jeff 08-02-2009 11:38 AM

We just had tornado warnings again and another round of wicked storms. All I hear is sirens, I think a house somewhere in the neighborhood got hit and might be on fire! I bet we've gotten 4-5" of rain already this morning. I need to run up and check on the boat/dock when it lets up.

sweetbmxrider 08-02-2009 11:39 AM

i haven't made it out of my room yet. i do dig storms though, just not when it ****s **** up for people.

NastyEllEssWon 08-02-2009 11:45 AM

yeah it was crazy winding around here....saw the tornado warnings here...also heard from a friend there mightve been an actual touchdown out by 130 groveville area....still waiting for the updates. its cleared a bit now....waiting for round 2

GP99GT 08-02-2009 11:53 AM

teh north is getting hammered pretty hard right now

edit: and a look at weather.com shows most of the rest of hte state isnt far behind

LTb1ow 08-02-2009 12:01 PM

Yeah, something like that. We got a ton of rain.

There are lots of trees split apart on the golf course across the street and the fairways were raging streams for a while! Between the storm Friday and the 2 storms this morning it's amazing there aren't more trees down.

ShitOnWheels 08-02-2009 12:26 PM

I thought I read somewhere this morning that a tornado touched down at Trenton Mercer Airport.

Been just pouring here all day. Radar shows we're just missing the really bad stuff, but we might get some in a little bit depending on how it moves through the area.

We just got slammed a little while ago...crazy stuff.

LTb1ow 08-02-2009 12:34 PM

Yea, sucks that the Haskell was today... If it weren't raining so bad, I would ride my bike over and watch the mayhem that is bound to be happening on the roads...

HeadlessNorseman 08-02-2009 12:39 PM

Yeah, I heard a hangar roof was torn off. We have a lot of trees split in half or ripped out of the ground. I'm about 3/4 mile from the airport so we were pretty close to the center of it I guess. Now the river is raging as are all the local streams and creeks. I just got back from checking on the boat/dock and at least they are still there for now!

Knipps 08-02-2009 01:53 PM

I got to drive south to north through all that, it was coming down so hard traffic was slowed to 30 at times on the parkway

maroman88 08-02-2009 02:29 PM

just a lil water
