Moser 9" and ATS Th-350 install completed

3 Attachment(s)
I just finished installing a Moser 9" and an ATS Th-350 at UnnamedShop1 performance. The rear is a 4.11, detroit locker 35 spline axles, the Th-350 is a reverse pattern ,w-trans brake. Also had PTS build a 3.5" 1350 yoke drive shaft. Now I'm just waiting til we test the new motor in our 8.50 Camaro, that will give me a chance to take my car to the track and see how the new parts respond to abuse!

what size tire do you plan on running with 4.11s and a th350?

dugeman 08-06-2009 10:16 AM

I'm going to try a 26" MT ET Street, we went on the computer at UnnamedShop1 Performance ,and tried different tire sizes and gear combo's and this was the best . It should trap around 61-6200. the best the car ran n/a was 11.56 @ 118 . I have a 150 shot but have never tried it on the track.

thats the set up id like to go with for my LT1 car, but with a 4.30 gear and 27" tall tires

what's the gearing like of the th350? I know with my t-56, 4.11s, and a 26 inch tall tire I can only trap 115 at 6200. Might have to go with a bigger tire or bump up the limiter.

2.52/1.52/1.0

so it'd be the same as my t-56. You're probably gonna have to go to a bigger tire or have the motor rev past 6200... I'd hate to see you get the car all back together and then make a pass and find out you ran outta gear.

I ran 26s with the t-56, hope the work they're brand spank'in new , but just in case I have a set of 27" drs that I run on my G8

well good luck. I know for a fact that you will run out of gear if you plan on trapping 118 on a 1:1 ratio, 26in tire, and 4.11's. Also one thing to factor is that the auto will have converter slip where as the t-56 had no slip.

The computer can be wrong...Ask Kenny (KAB) the next time you see him at UnnamedShop1's.
