Gauging Interest: NJFBOA Fantasy Football

Who's willing join? It will be a Yahoo league, free of course (a possible $20 buy in is possible IF everyone agrees to it). Hoping to get at least 10. Once the spots fill up, we'll try to figure out a time that works for people and I'll create the league. The draft will be live, online style.

Last year's league was fun and competitive. If you do choose to join the league, I ask that you be a owner that participates somewhat.

Last year's champion was... that's right it was me. [/bragging]

1. Me
2. LS1Hawk brother in law

4. LS1hawk
5. Nastellesswon
6. Jims69camaro
7. Procamaroz28

LS1Hawk 08-06-2009 07:32 PM

Last year's league was fun, so count me in. And I would say keep it to 10 teams.

NastyEllEssWon 08-06-2009 09:34 PM

count me in.

jims69camaro 08-07-2009 06:52 AM

yeah, keep the number of teams down. i'm in.

procamaroz28 08-07-2009 07:10 AM

yea absolutely

cdacda13 08-07-2009 09:00 AM

Wow, we're filling up fast.
As far as teams go, I would like to keep to to around 12 maximum. If though, 20 guys want to play, I'll gladly start another league.
Now, the draft. What date is time is good for everyone? They usually take an hour or so

RiggsLW81 08-07-2009 11:32 AM

why do we throw in $20 a piece and make it interesting? i missed fantast football last season so looking tog et invloved this one..

who wants to out some action on the season? i vote YES. when theres some loot on the line, people really try to 'out play' each other...

having played in leagues with money up for grabs, and non money leagues...it always seems the leagues without cahs on the line fall to crap, people stop playing, or just lose motivation cuz there is nothing to lose. thats my reasoning.

winner take all $20 a head..and CDACDA13- you organized the league, you can be banker too.. im cool with that.

List Updated.
As far as $20 buy in, if everyone agrees to it then we'll do it.

enRo 08-07-2009 01:37 PM

Im down

LS1Hawk 08-07-2009 01:49 PM

If the draft is during the week, anytime after 7pm is good for me. Weekends are hit or miss because I'm usually all over the place.

LS1Hawk 08-07-2009 02:58 PM

I don't mind putting down $20, but as far as money keeping people interested doesn't guarantee anything. I'm in a baseball leauge on CBS Sports that is $100 a head, and there are teams that after week 10 stopped doing anything. I think you keep it to 10 teams and let only owners who are serious in you should have a good competition.

fire95bird 08-07-2009 05:23 PM

Damn i would do it but i leave in nov :(

procamaroz28 08-07-2009 05:41 PM

is the draft gonna be on a weekend?

LS1Hawk 08-07-2009 06:03 PM

I think last year we did the draft on a tues or thurs evening.

procamaroz28 08-07-2009 06:04 PM

that will work...

NastyEllEssWon 08-08-2009 12:28 AM

it's really easy. the draft, obviously, is the most important part as that is where you build your team.

i got away with murder last year with trades. even still, i ended in the bottom ten. obviously if there is money on the line i would not even think about having two teams, much less trying to pull off some of the crap i did last year. that said, i would not be adverse to a $20 buy-in.

procamaroz28 08-08-2009 10:48 AM

how about $10 to buy in???

NastyEllEssWon 08-08-2009 03:28 PM

whatever i dont care. 20 bucks...let me know when the draft is. i have an open schedule. those with actual things to do can decide the time.

Mike 08-08-2009 06:23 PM

last year was a tuesday evening

Bcozzi71 08-08-2009 07:08 PM

im free whenever ...id rather do $10 then $20.
