fenderbender yesterday

I was on my way home from work on the parkway going north, and i was coming up on my exit, i think its 168, it goes into washington township. so there was a ford taurus infront of me, i saw her brake lights go out and she started to move, so i thought she left. I turned my head to see if there were anymore cars comming, there werent, so i started to go, and as im moving, i turn my head and the taurus was still there and didnt move. i hit the right side of my front bumper and fender into the rear of her left bumper. she got a dent, and i got this...

incase you dont know about the exit, the police who responded sait they get "10-16" calls a day about accidents at that exit

baddest434 08-14-2009 07:46 PM

tuff break on the crash man. but 10-16 calls a day i'm not buying that. thats like 3500-5500 calls a year. c'mon somones fibbin

79CamaroDiva 08-14-2009 08:06 PM

I did that once. I'll never move forward when looking backwards again  luckily the girl I hit was cool and in a hurry so no cops were called. not really any damage either. I was in my Jeep tho

Like bill said, tough break.. 10-16 calls/day means the damn exit would be tied up 16 hours a day! maybe 10-16 calls/week, and even thats pushing it, but possible.

ok i cant stand people that move up and then all of a sudden realize that nah they dont wanna go anymore

CamaroJoe1987 08-14-2009 10:19 PM

i was just quoting wat the female officer said wen she was talking to us, i didnt believe it either, but she said that they get calls like that frequently in the mornings and durring rush hour, we looked at her like she had 2 heads after she said that, and then she said that since it was the off ramp, we had for a state trooper to come by and do the report, i wasnt too thrilled with that, but ii had the patience

CamaroJoe1987 08-14-2009 10:30 PM

its just a stupid exit, you have a major blindspot, because the exit splits for people making a left, and your vision is blocked by their car, unfortunately something like wont get fixed until someone dies there trying to merge
