fun things to do in philly?
 

im not familiar with philadelphia at all...i know more people around here have. anything cool / fun to do in philly, preferably for free.

dodge bullets

if your of age, show and tell on the waterfront near dave and busters.

Drive back over the bridge to NJ.

cheesesteaks

try not to get shot. dont wander after sunset unless ur in the area listed below.

but in all honesty...head to South st. its like the West Village of philly...restauarants, bars, lots of vintage/trendy stores.. plus its a short walk to the waterfront a few blocks away.

hit ginos cheesesteaks, its an institution

Sporting events, cheesesteaks, south street, old city bar hopping, art museum, zoo, Chinatown, etc...

If you're even remotely a history buff, or just curious, there are all the historic sites downtown that are open during the day BEFORE you hit all the night spots above.

Liberty bell and old congress buildings will be worth 2 hours or so.

Edit: and its all free. Just park (not free) and walk all over, pick up your car after dinner / bars.

if your on south street and you want a good steak go to jim's. i think its on the corner of 6th and south. theres always shows n stuff at the trocadero and performaning arts centers.

Hit up a Phillies game or Eagles Pre-Season Game... not free but fun!

Walk center city.. It is one of the most walkable downtown areas. There is a observation deck atop City hall that is free. It is 547ft or so above the streets and gives great views. Check out the TV in the comcast center at 17th and ARch I think. Its in the lobby and is amazing also. Old city is pretty much all free.

stay close to the river. Avoid anything west of the Skyukill River and North or Lehigh Ave. Stay away from Kensington, Port Richmond and any street that is more then 40 or is named by a letter. :)
