WTB: 3.8l v6 for a camaro
 
I have a 98 3.8l camaro that makes a nasty clunking sound from the bottem end im thinking the rod bearings are shot. Im checking to see if anyone has a motor for sale check that runs good...just need a short block really but ill take w.e.

the 3.8l is a dime a dozen at junk yards

Ages ago, I had picked up a junkyard 3.8L V6 for 200-250 bucks. It was complete including coil packs, spark plug wires etc.

I got it from one of the f body salvage yards from down south.... maybe the carolina's or florida.

You might want to try that.

Iv looked everywhere around here and came up wiuth nothing but a few fwd 3.8s that who knows what kind of internal condition their in. Just trying to see if anyone had one they wanted to unloaded.

Did the same thing when I poped my 1st motor on the spray. got a complete 3.8 from coil packs to alternator with 13,000 miles on it for 500.00.. The place I got it from was M&M auto parts in Fredricksburg VA.. Also there is a 2000 Firebird at a Junk yard in Williamstown NJ off rt 42 called shorties. I went and looked at it.. The motor looks good. the car just got wrecked..

i have a motor from my wife's 99 firebird, motor and trans still complete and assembled...motor and trans ran flawlessly and has a newer alternator and brand new crank sensor with 20 miles on it, $500 for motor/trans combo if your interested
