Pics of my chopper finally!

After almost a year of sneaking in work on it when I could in the late night hours my chopper is finally done. Picked it up in pieces last October but it was all there and the hardtail was already welded on. Blew the whole thing apart and did every nut, bolt, bracket, etc. Tore the whole motor apart too. It's running pretty good right now but there are a few oil leaks that I need to try and seal up. I know old Harley's leak but I'm determined to seal it up tight. Oh and it's an 80 Sportster with the 1,000 Ironhead motor.

Very nice, Ive had plans to do something like that for a while now but I'm just gonna sell the street bike for a cruiser till the car projects are done.

looks good

HardcoreZ28 09-09-2009 09:41 AM

Thanks! I'm ready to do another one now...more of a bobber style. Drag bars, no sissy bar, a little more color, but still very minimalist. The ironheads are very cheap to pick up in running condition but I'd like to step up to an Evo motor instead for the reliability.

 what a bad ass bike! the black motor looks sick.

Very nice work Paul!

Very nice Paul. Another candidate for a Steel and Skin shoot.

With the hardtail, I hope you can avoid every pothole, large crack and speed bump out there. Enjoy!

yea dude, the evo motors r sick, my fathers bike was a 92 or 93 heritage softail, hes been beating on it since he baught it new and hes never really had any major problems on it, its kept up with the anual maintenence and it runs damn good

that looks awesome!!! maybe do another one of those celtic looking crosses on the sissy bar too??

HardcoreZ28 09-09-2009 05:08 PM

I thought about doing a set of brass knuckles in the sissy bar and incorporating the turn signals into the finger holes somehow. We'll see.

i can see that....do little leds in the fronts of the knuckles...drill small little holes.....sequential turn brass knuckles would be P.I.M.P
