Finally saw a Firehawk G8 in person
 

I walked out of the restaurant I was at and what do I see parked next to my SS in the back of the lot? A Firehawk G8. I have never seen one of these around and actually caught the guy who owned it. I had to ask him the question on all of our minds, beautiful car, but for the price...why not a dam vette? He laughed and told me he thinks down the road this will be worth more than any vette will and he loves when vettes try and race him on the highway and can't keep up with him. He told me a story about a guy trying to race with him in a C6 Z06 and couldn't keep up with him. I'm not to familiar with these cars so if it is true, I don't know. The funny part was this guy had to be over 60 years old telling me about racing other cars in his G8. :rofl: :rofl: I also busted his chops and asked why he had to park next to me and try and make my car look bad with his beautiful new Firehawk and he laughed telling me how he used to own an LS1 SS and absolutely loved the cars. How many of you have seen these G8's cruising around? I thought it was quite rare

Nice car. He better learn to stop shorter or he will need a repaint on the front bumper.

when I was walking around the car, that is one of the first things I thought actually. How do you spend this amount of money and park like this? Silly old man haha

haha..I was thinking that..he may be faster but chances are the Z sounds like much more of a beast

Overpriced but still a nice car. He must have raced some idiot ZO6 drivers, that Firehawk isn't faster than a ZO6. Someone needs to knock that arrogant owner down a few notches.

z06 is prob only a few tenths quicker in the qtr

...and look at the trap speeds...on the highway 1/4 mile times mean nothing.

I dunno, looks unfinished to me. I like that style wheel but not that offset. I'd like to see a set with much less backspace.

Not bad...like the regular G8 just as much though. Wheels arent bad im just not crazy about them.

man for the pricetag of those cars slp really skimped out. is it just me or does anyone else think that the flat black part of that hood should really just be an unpainted portion of a carbon fiber hood :nod:

Yea thats kinda what i was saying...I dont really notice much of a difference from this and the factory car to warrant the price tag...

For the money, they should at least swap to the GXP front and rear fascia's. Not that I don't like the GT's but that car is really expensive. Performance is pretty solid though. I respect them but wouldn't be placing my order for it.
