Looking to tighten up the suspension...
I have a STB, springs and lca's...still feel some roll coming out of a turn what would you do next...Just looking for a nice tight feel...Im thinking SFC's...

sway bars help body roll. could get an autocross style torque arm but i doubt you wanna spend that money.
|
Do you have decent shocks?
|
Yes upgraded them when I did the springs a few mths back.
|
i have weld in sfc on my 98. it helped a little. but i need to upgrade my stock torque arm and sway bars.

speaking from my personal experience, I think sfc's are a little bit hyped up. they make the car feel a bit more stable and definitely more rigid, but as far as cornering improvement they're not a huge difference. without a doubt a good idea for the sake of your car, but not one of the first things I'd do for handling.
if i were you i'd do swaybars. those and shocks made the biggest differences for me. 35 front, 21 or 22 rear. it's a pretty huge improvement over stock. well worth the money. |

Make sure you dont have a broken sway bar mount up front... one of mine broke and it handled like ****
|
Look for a WS6 swap bar, bit thicker then the stock Zs. Also, don't forget about upgrading the swaybar mounts from the stock rubber to Poly mounts. One of the problems with F-bodies is that the rubber bushings in the A-arms wear out. Bit of a PITA to replace, but good poly bushing will help allot.
Also what tires are you running. I have the Nitto 555s up front and they handle well. |
I upgraded to a 32mm front bar and it was a slight improvement. then i went to 35/21 and it made a huge difference. unless you're able to find one cheap (got mine for free) i would go bigger. definitely go poly bushings though.

Sway bars will make a big difference. The stiffness is not linear as well- it is to the 4th power. So small size changes have a bigger impact.

3 PT subframe conectors - did notice a difference in roll
|
Alot of good Info...thx guys...Im running continentals up front but im getting another set of 18in. wheels to match the rears soon...I have ran Nitto 555s in the rear but never upfront.
|
Sway bars would be the best move. Biggest improvement I noticed when I put on a set of 1LE 36mm hollow sway bar up front, and 25mm solid in the rear. Too bad the tires couldn't max it out till recently.
|
what are the stock ws6 sway bar sizes? i may look into some new suspension parts when i get home. also what are some good shocks?
|
32/19
and Koni's are pretty unanimously agreed to be the best |

springs and swaybars limit the amount of roll. shocks control the rate or how fast it rolls.
