Piratebay and demonoid down?

title

piratebay was bought by a company that intends to turn it into a LEGAL pay site for torrents. maybe the transition is starting

GrandmasterCow 10-22-2009 02:27 AM

demonoid has been predicting downtime for some time now, but how long isn't known. they might be having legal issues, might have database issues like the website says, anyting can happen with that kind of website.

I open .torrent files with notepad to take a look at the trackers all the time before i open the .torrent file with uTorrent for downloading. Twice from sites, i found trackers on .gov domains, which isn't a good thing

I stopped using PB because every new movie that came out that I tried to dl had a .gov tracker I rarely find them on mininova....

there might be a bit of confusion here, but on the internet what more can be expected? thepiratebay is not piratebay - they are two completely different sites. thepiratebay is a pay per use site. piratebay is still as it has always been. thanks for the tip about the trackers.

r0nin89 10-24-2009 12:37 PM

You know you can delete trackers and such right?

sumotorrent is another decent sight btw.

Reverse that.....piratebay is the pay site, thepiratebay is free.
