I'm not a fan of Hennessey for their business practices as we are all aware of but this is pretty funny.

Now that I have OnStar and used it a lot, I gotta say...its a fantastic system.
this is hilarious though.

bubba428 10-26-2009 04:02 AM

ok so Hennessey doesn't like wearing helmets in a 11.0s car...NICE

Jersey Mike 10-26-2009 01:17 PM

Awesome. Wonder if that's 700w or at the flywheel. 556bhp supercharged LSA, ftw.

JerzyIroc 10-28-2009 04:28 PM

That is awesome. They should make a commercial about this lol

mc73nova 10-28-2009 07:53 PM

This is the second time I have seen a new GM vehicle with 700hp or more only in the 11's. I just dont understand.

well, to be fair it's very low 11s, and it doesn't appear to be on a tire either - look how squirrelly it gets during the run.

I understand that but they build them to brag about them. So why wouldnt they get everything right and lay down a killer run. Why bother saying it does low 11's but it could be faster if.... Get read of all the if's and make the best pass it can. Especially for the amount of money they are charging you for that car.

I know this is Apples to Oranges but I drove my friends 72 Chevelle @ Island's rental last Thursday.
Full Interior, No weight reduction, 383 small block, pump gas 505hp/495tq, turbo 350 trans, 3.73's on street tires, raced it without touching anything it went 11.80@116 in a 4000# car. Again, I know there are a rediculous amount of variables but an extra 200hp and not even a full second.

Tru2Chevy 10-28-2009 09:06 PM

Meh....it's Hennessey - they are idiots :D

bubba428 10-30-2009 08:23 PM

probably a bone stock suspension factory rear gear. it seems to me that these new RWD GM cars either bog or spin. I have yet to see a decent launch(video wise anyway)

BigAls87Z28 11-01-2009 11:26 AM

Stock ZR1 went 10.79 on street tires? That had less then 700hp?

CTS-V is not designed to be a drag racer.

mc73nova 11-01-2009 04:27 PM

I know its not a drag car and it probably has no suspension work but they are proudly posting videos of their 700hp going 11's, that is pathetic. If you guys are impressed, than I guess its working for them.
