Spark plugs for N20.

LT1, prob a 100 shot, if I feel dangerous, a 150 shot.

What kind of plugs?

I have autolite 104s in there now. Heads have been milled down enough to require intake to be slotted.

JerzLT1 11-01-2009 01:12 PM

i believe TR6s should be fine, you can always email Lloyd though, hell get back to you the same day

GrandmasterCow 11-01-2009 01:15 PM

I use TR6s for boost plus they were recommended on ls1tech for n2o also.

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 01:16 PM

Ok, they are good for LT1s as well?

JerzLT1 11-01-2009 01:19 PM

yes

sweetbmxrider 11-01-2009 03:48 PM

br7ef's but that would be for north of 150 i guess

NJ Torque 11-01-2009 04:19 PM

I would run the BR7EF just to be safe as well.

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 04:20 PM

Now, I had just planned on throwing those plugs in for track day, and then putting new autolites back in.

Is there any sense in that?

It does make sense, yes...

But, how often are you going to go? If your like me, I don't drive my car enough on the street to worry about chaning plugs back or bumping back up the timing.

is there any sense to any of your madness

but it does make sense i have a set of plugs that are for running on motor and a diffferent set for nitrous.

use take out save for next nitrous runs...brilliant:lol:

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 04:27 PM

Well I rarely go to the track, and its pretty much an NA car. Just wanna try out all my switches and gauges ya know. ;)

NJ Torque 11-01-2009 04:31 PM

What plate do you have?

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 04:33 PM

N20 outlet 58mm LT1. Their full kit, and window/WOT switch.

NJ Torque 11-01-2009 04:47 PM

What are you using for fueling? Like to monitor it?

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 04:49 PM

Just a FP gauge, looking at getting a WB at some point, but I think its over kill for a 100 shot.

Hot wire kit, 30#s, and new walrbo 255.

I'm not going over 150 but I'm gonna be running a HSW Microedge interface, nano kit, wideband... :|

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 04:52 PM

Dry kit though, mine is a wet shot.

I am pretty sure I will be fine, if not, well the pistons need replacing anyways.

Actually I'm gonna wind up throwing out the nos kit I have... no one wants it :-?

And am really thinking about going to the nitrodaves fbody specific kit

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 04:57 PM

Dry kit is no good IMO. Maybe on LS1s, but LT1s its a no no.

And the N20 outlet stuff has a very good rep of hitting hard and consistent. And their plates look bad ass. ;)

Only downside is you cannot hide the fact that you run N20 with a plate.

Back to spark plugs, where should I pick em up? Think a local auto supply store would have em?

S.J.SLEEPER 11-01-2009 05:02 PM

napa , conway or a motorcycle shop.
motorcycle shops normally only carry ngk/nippon denso and some misc. brands

LTb1ow 11-01-2009 05:03 PM

Alright cool cool. I'll swap plugs and adjust rockers this Saturday then.

sweetbmxrider 11-02-2009 07:34 AM

got a box of br7ef's from napa.

so you gunna try reading the plugs? cause you can't drive to the track on them then. it would be throw them in, make the pass, pull em out.

LTb1ow 11-02-2009 04:17 PM

Prob would cause more harm than good.

Hopefully pick up a box of those plugs, and run em to atco etc.

sweetbmxrider 11-02-2009 06:00 PM

yeah it might run rough n/a though

LTb1ow 11-02-2009 06:02 PM

A single range colder would cause it to run bad?
