Xbox 360 Help???
 

I opened the 360 today and put in the new forza i bought. it said to put in disc 2 and i did. it wont read the disc. says its not the disc its looking for.


i tried to clear the settings in my memory and i think i mightve deleted my gamertag or something.....anyone wanna help? or wanna buy a cheap xbox...this thing is beyond my knowledge. cant figure out how to get it going.

it's not that hard!.. you did put disk 1 in first right? then it tells you to insert disk 2 then downloads the game. what xbox did you get. the arcade doesnt have a harddrive. it only has like 256mb internal memory or something like that you need 1.9gb for the game then another half a gig for the content addon

i have a 60 gig hd. plenty of memory. i try to put disc 2 in like it prompts and it says ''PLEASE INSERT DISC'' then i try again and it says ''THE DISC HAS FAILED, WIPE IT WITH A CLOTH AND TRY AGAIN, IF NOT....'' and gives the link to ms support.




i think im just gonna end up taking the system and everything i got back and yelling at the manager until they return it. this just isnt worth the hassle.

Yeah i would to. Sounds like a bad disk. it's happend to me before.

heh maybe ill try returning the game first. see if that works

that and if you move 360 with a game in while it's on it will chew a nice ring in the disk. then you get that dirty disk message lol it sucks

im bout to exchange the forza and if it doesnt work im just going to return the xbox to walmart for store credit or something. this crap is beyond me.

Tell me step by step you did. There was problems like this and i can help you.

i returned forza for a brand new one and bam...worked like a charm. mustve had a dead disc. :nod:



and i preordered COD for tonight :D

did you download disc 2 manually before using the prompts that forza gives you? That's what I do automatically when I get a new game--all discs go straight to the hard drive. Delete disc 2 from your hard drive first, then try going through the forza method. Worked for me.
