cost for tinted windows?
 

im looking to get the rear and back windows tinted on my 03 crown vic but i dont know what a good base price should be. the only place around here quoted me $175. Is this good? It sounds pretty expensive for me for film paper and an hours labor...no?

sounds about right for a good job...a cheap job will bubble and/or turn purple

thats good in my book. i would go to a reputable shop though. its alot of cutting to get that perfect edge, laying it correctly, and using a quality product. the more cuts you have to make, the more the price goes up. i paid around $225 to have my camaro tinted. that was the back bubble, sides, and windshield strip.

I think I paid between 200 and 250

oh really? ok... just alot more then i expected it to be i guess... i could see that on my trans since the hatch glass is as big as the lens they got on hubble...my wrists hurt just thinkin about cleaning it! but the crown vic is such a massive car inside and has a tiny rear window. i guess ill go for it, i cant stand not having tinted windows... paranoid i guess haha! plus it adds to the oh **** factor for people comming up from behind thinkin they wanna pass an interceptor!!

170ish is about right. If you ever get all 3 windows tinted in your T/A, expect anywhere from 230-280.

my rear hatch is tinted in my trans... the fronts used to be but i got pulled over alot in like the first week i owned it so i had it removed. rears fine though... i like being able to see left and right at night anyway :D

im thinkin im going to get my rear window balck as the night but keep the other windows clear i dont wanna get pulled over anymore than i have too and my parents say so X( im only 18 so kinda have to listen somewhat lol

i love it...ive only driven my trans since 2003 really... when i bought this car i relized how suckass it is to drive at night without a tinted rear. do it up, you wont regret it!
