Quick question guys. Did all Iroc's come with quick steering ratio, or was it a some did some didn't deal? If some, what RPO code would I be looking for if they had an RPO code for it? thanks guys.

I think all IROCs got it, but can't say for sure.

Not sure if 15" wheel cars got it. I believe all 16" WS6 cars did.

the steering box will have a "Z" cast into the top of it if is a fast ratio box

I don't think that is true. Stamped, as in paint/ink, but not cast.

"ID codes are ink stamped on the box with two letters, cast or stamped numbers are of no use for Id other than year of manufacture."

Dave's information is usually correct.

the box itself has a "Z" cast into it, right on top My box has it and all others i know of from the period as well.

they may also have things stamped into the metal on the end cover and by the steering input spline end.

I thought this was true as well but I think this was bunked as Scott stated. My friend has pulled more than a few 3rd gens apart and he has said the same that not all of the "Z" ones were quick ratio.
