yes you have a nice sum of money into it but most are not going to give you what its worth ... so i would say on the open market you could get about $6500. for your set up. I know its worth allot more but i am just guess what people would pay for a motor set up like this

Meh....I wouldn't be thrilled with a 511 block. That's an early 4 bolt main 400 block, and the later blocks (509s and 817s) are more desirable, as they have more metal in the main webbing area. I would be hesitant to use a 511 block as anything more than a street cruiser / occasional weekend trip to the track deal.

most guys shy away form 4-bolt 400s, no?

Yes - the early (70-72, IIRC) 511 blocks were 4 bolt mains, and there was less meat in the main webbing = weaker than later blocks.

Not really a high dollar build.. Mostly chinese and cheap stuff.. Might make 400hp? Why are there boat motor mounts and mariene carb on it?

The 4-bolt 400 blocks are weaker than the 2-bolt ones. With that build though you're not making a lot of power so it doesn't really come into play. It's not really worth a whole lot with some of those parts in it.

This was my understanding as well.

509
511
817

In that order, with 2 bolts being stronger than 4 bolts.

This made me chuckle a tad.
