If The Skies Are Clear Around 5PM, Watch For...
a double fly-by of the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
The space shuttle Atlantis undocked from the space station, so that means when they fly by Thursday night, they should be flying in tandem. You'll see the two space ships flying in tandem.. one brighter than the other. The dimmer one is the shuttle. To check the your local times and direction to look, go here: http://www.spaceweather.com/flybys/index.php? I got this info from a guy on one of the other message boards - he's involved with NASA. Hopefully the weather is clear so we'll get a glimpse! |
thats bad ass! thanks for the tip off!

the link isnt working for me. Is it 5pm exactly?

It's pretty clear out so I took a look... I think I saw them from roughly 5:10-5:12. seemed like the dimmer light was following the brighter. definitely didn't look like airplane lights

Couldn't see them from over in Easton

Pretty sure I saw them too, right on time 5:07-5:09. We were just south of the GWB and had a pretty good view of them. Cool stuff!
