Comp Eng 3 ways

Summit gives me three different versions...
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEE-2710/

Two of which are Chevy, how do I know which one works for me?

Also, any one know any other cheaper retailer to get em for?

Theres just one option on the link?

I posted a 10% summit discount link...

sweetbmxrider 11-30-2009 07:35 AM

call summit and ask. then order online with the discount code

LTb1ow 11-30-2009 02:58 PM

Now I am confused.. apparently the summit variant is a repackaged CE.

Gah.

if that pic is the actually shock, its wrong. ours is one single through bolt on the bottom. the top appears to be the correct style

LS1ow 11-30-2009 03:33 PM

Thoughts?

LS1ow 11-30-2009 03:47 PM

the number is C2700.

transmaro93 11-30-2009 04:08 PM

save the part # matt when you get them and they work... im probably gonna use these in the rear of my car also seeing as they are very affordable and not as important as the fronts...

LTb1ow 11-30-2009 05:26 PM

Will do Brandon, and hopefully I will be getting em this week, I can tell you how they work as well.

transmaro93 11-30-2009 06:19 PM

sounds good to me...

LTb1ow 12-01-2009 09:37 AM

Ok I purchased the Summit versions, guys on tech were pretty impressed with em and I think they "may" be reboxed CE shocks.

Hopefully get em installed this Saturday and get to the track to test em out.

Look at the stampings to see what's on there. I've had two experiences with summit parts:

1.) Rear Disc brake kit. Buzz was that it was a reboxed SSBC kit and it is.
2.) 3" Fully welded mufflers. Buzz was that they were Thrush or Dynomax- and they aren't.

Will do, either way, people have had good luck with the Summit shocks so we shall see.

Yeah. Bites you have to take them off to adjust them but you can't beat the price.

LTb1ow 12-01-2009 09:56 AM

Yea, I saw that, but for the price, I will deal with it. Heck, my car is always in some state of repair anyways, so it shouldn't be a hassle.

I'll set em at 50/50 and hit the track.

transmaro93 12-03-2009 08:17 PM

not if they are on their softest setting... theres like little to no damper force when they are like that and they probably shipped them that way... how come you can only change the setting with them fully compressed??
