Great story...and ironic.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/200...carjacked.html
Sen. Corker, a republican from Tenn, one of the many gents that wanted GM to die, his daughter was forced from her SUV weds. The SUV she was driving? Not a Nissian..but a GM vehicle. OnStar was contacted, the vehicle was stopped and the car jackers were arrested. I thought it was funny. Carry on. |
nice. i guess he's holding his head and shaking his head on this one, talking about making you feel stupid.
|
lulz
|
Al you make me so angry sometimes.... obviously the guy doesnt hate GM if his daughter is driving one... but rather has enough incentive to realize that its not the governments job to decide what should and shouldn't fail... the fact that you even mention that "one of the many gents that wanted GM to die" is completely erroneous to the story... just you trying to find any and everything you possibly can to shake down the gop... not that i care for them to much lately either...

OMGZ, Obama owns 60% of GM and drove a Chrysler 300 OMGZ!!!! IRONY.....
;):D |

Question, what are the prices of shares going for GM now a day's J.W.

I think I need to buy 100 shares :) now's a good time as any the way they are looking to turn their corporation around.
|
Since when are they being publicly traded? I thought they weren't going to have shares available until late next year?
Al, am I wrong(my memory is a bit fuzzy sometimes lol)? |
Its not a publicly traded, so there are no shares to be bought. Any and all shares were liquidated. I lost about...eh...almost a thousand bucks? Should have pulled out, and bought Ford.
We are the goverment, we elect our officials, we tell them what to do, they work for us, the goverment purchased 60% of GM after Chap 11. You cant go to board meetings becaues you are not a member of the board, but the board must answer to the ATF for certain things. The ATF does not dicate product, but they do have control over the purse strings. They have left any and all product development up to GM and thier execs. Big Ed wants lots of things to happen, and he will keep firing people till he finds someone that can do the job. Could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. The President is not the King, nor is he a mega-billionare, and owns or controls nothing reguarding GM. |

lol if you really believe the popular vote counts then man....wow...misguided you are. and if the stocks not being publicly traded....then hows the public own gm like you said??? because our taxes paid for it??? i dont call that ownership when someone takes your money and you see no return from it....i dunno...i kinda call that being robbed  |
Is GM still a functional company? Are another ten million people out of jobs? Did the last form of manufacturing disappear from this country? Then I say it was money well spent.
Both the last Republican and current Democratic president belived that letting GM disappear was a bad move. The president is not elected by popular vote, but your congressman and senators are. Thats the beauty of our goverment. |

Ok, this is going off course.
I just found it funny, thats all. You can have your opinion on the president and thats fine. |
OHH its not only the president... its politicians in general.... how a the career title of "politician" ever turned into a state of scumbag mindedness ill never know... but i wont get into that either... i mean its a bit ironic... but again the guy was voting on his values and not he favorite set of wheels...
