VA schools separates students by gender

*If test scores go up great
*But now this gives both sexes less time to be able to communicate with each other, hmmmm that aint right

Wait, I thought men and women were equal in every aspect?

racerx520 12-09-2009 12:23 PM

*Warning*- don't get all misogynistic in this thread. Sexism will be interpreted the same as racism on here.

Bah, my post was sarcastic in nature.

I think its just more of teaching to pass a test at the end of the year, not teaching kids to learn on their own.

So fail.

I know the sarcasm, and I know what you were going for. I'm just trying to steer away from the typical men vs women deal. Both genders have their strengths and weaknesses. I think the gender segregation may be good for learning and test scores but may have some social implications.

Well most catholic schools are single gender, I won't get into the religious nonsense part, but they usually score higher on standardized tests than public schools. Granted that is a far stretch at comparisons.. but still.

Catholic schools are awful at any type of special ed (many don't even have it) and the higher score thing is hit or miss. I know people who had to repeat a grade because they did not get a good enough education at Catholic school, where they got great grades.

Well there is a very fine line between not stepping on any ones toes but at the same time providing a good education at a public school.

Most schools are damned if they do, damned if they don't when it comes to providing the right classes to the right kids.

I'd be curious to see back to back tests. I'm not sure it'd be much different.

Women have a smaller brain than a man, its a proven fact  From "Anchorman", FYI

Z28 Heritage 12-10-2009 12:18 AM

Personley i think women are better:rofl: For always helping us men out when we need it.

And i have seen a'lot of abuse of men. So i Vote for women for Helping us and You know the other....

BigAls87Z28 12-10-2009 12:44 AM

Yeah, I heard about this.
While I dont think either side is smarter then the other, we learn in different ways.
Say its a few millenia of evolution that has taught us to be different and learn different.
Not that its good or bad, but I think its a good deal. Sure there will be huge uproar, but its worth a test.

I feel like there will be more fights but maybe less since there will be No girls to fight over
