since we dont have a lift...

since we dont have a lift to put the motor in from the bottem we were thinking of a way to drop the K and put the motor in that would be the easiest. we decided to take advantage of the "crane" we have in the driveway lol my dad came up with this crazy mid-evil device and this is the results....

I believe thats the way were going to be doing it just waiting on motor right now it was easy to drop pain was the harness mainly. But as long as u got a few. Hands to help its easy we had about 4 people helpin to n we dropped motor n trans at same time.

i got the car as a roller so there was no need to take the old one out lol and we took the complete wiring harness out bc this car is a 95 and the old one was a 93. so we swapped out for the speed density/OBDI harness. because the roller didnt have one

B4C 12-17-2009 03:55 PM

Is the 95 obdI or obdII?

LS1ow 12-17-2009 03:59 PM

Cant hook an OBD1 vehicle to an OBD2 comp, lack of cat monitoring, and other diffrences between obd1 and obd2. They dont sniff obd2 vehicles they just plug them into the computer.

Edit: didnt know what year they cut off the comp check, so you might be alright

If they cant hook the comp up to their machine its an automitic fail, but I didnt know they just used the sniff test on the 95 I thought it was all OBD2 vehicles that got hooked to their comp
