Show me your winter projects

Show me your winter projects.. here is mine. New engine was finished and dynoed in mid-July, but had too many issues and too busy with work that it never made it into the car. I never made it to Whiskey Cafe once in 2009. Have all winter to finish the install and should be ready first nice spring day.

Here is the build..
  • Dart Little M SBC block - 401cid (4.125” bore)
  • Callies Magnum crankshaft with BBC snout (3.75” stroke)
  • Lunati Pro-Mod rods (5.7”)
  • Clevite Vandervell V-bearings
  • JE Extreme Duty 23* inverse dome blower pistons
  • Speed Pro Plasma Moly file-fit piston rings
  • AFR 227 Eliminator Heads, comp porting, 2.1” intake valve
  • T&D off-set shaft rockers w/ light weight option (1.6 ratio)
  • ARP Head studs
  • 7.77:1 compression
  • Cometic MLS head gaskets
  • Cloyes billet timing set and 2-piece cover
  • Melling Select +10% volume and pressure oil pump
  • Reed solid flat tappet camshaft – 240/250* @ .050”, .523/.542" lift, 112 LSA + EDM lifters
  • Manton .118" walled pushrods
  • ATI blower damper
  • TBS Large Port Intake Manifold
  • Littlefield Blower -- 14lbs boost
  • Twin Quick Fuel Technologies 750 DP blower carbs
  • Holly Ultra HP 200gph mechanical fuel pump/ RobMc ½” pick up and 8an fuel lines
  • Mezier billet mechanical water pump
  • Stefs 6 qt oil pan
  • Lemons 1-7/8 to 2" step headers
  • Etc., etc.

With the current set up, its 753hp at 6350 rpm, 682 ft lbs tq at 4500rpm.. still needs more carb jetting.. way too rich.

One hell of an entrance!

I think I remember you from NastyZ years ago. Beautiful engine!

Whatever I would do for a klondike bar, I would do ten fold for that engine.

That thing is gorgeous.

Thanks.

I have been a member of this site for a few years, but don't come that often, but I do live in NJ.

Yeah, I have also been an active member of NastyZ28 for many years.. since about 2001 when I still lived in Japan, thus my handle. I started building the current Camaro while still in Tokyo, and that site was a great resource for pulling the project together. It is my third 1973 Camaro.

Sorry, no pics right now:

Stroker motor going back in.
Mcloed scatter sheild
Tubular K-member and control arms.
Modify rear wheelwells for wider rims/tires
Add a little bit more bling under the hood

* Wish list * If money allows before the race season starts:

1) Dana60 rear

2) Would really like to add a pair of Corbeau seats. I hate my stockers!
