LUNDQVIST :moon:

BRODEUR

discuss

Frosty 01-12-2010 09:04 PM

Lundy has been a great goalie in the last few years...it's a shame the team in front of him is a complete joke.

SamhainZ28 01-12-2010 09:16 PM

that was a great game that could have gone any way. the devils got lucky at the very end, thats all.

I went to my first professional hockey game last week. Devils vs. Stars. It was intense. I was never much for hockey, but being there is a completely different experience. Brodeur is amazing. The Stars had more shots on goal, and Brodeur didn't let one through. I can't wait to go to another game. It really was amazing.

For someone who isn't a big fan and never played(I'm assuming) it's a real fun experience isn't it? A hockey game is probably the most exciting sport to see live, that and football. Seeing a game live shows you A)How great of athletes they are compare to some other hack job sports and B) How fast the game is compared to watching it on TV.

There was so much Rangers hate at the Prudential Center. Haha, I can't even begin to imagine what a game involving the Rangers would be like.

My girlfriend was at the game last night with her company. The only thing in front of her seat was the ice. I was so jealous, but she had a great time.

maroman88 01-13-2010 08:06 AM

exactly.... going to a hockey game is prob the most exciting sport to watch live, i went to one football game... yea that sucked live, id rather sit home and watch

Fleetwiz 01-13-2010 09:46 AM

hextall ftw

Frosty 01-13-2010 11:02 AM

Ahhhh the good 'ol days.

alamantia 01-13-2010 11:17 AM

All Goalie stats are impacted by the rest of the teams overall performance besides one stat, save percentage, both Goalies have identical save percentages. Bordure plays for a defensive minded team which allows less shots, they also score less goals, their system is effective but boring. Last night was an exception to the rule. There were 96 shots in total after 4 periods and both Goalies walked away with a shut out. Marty is a good goalie but over the hill and with but a few seasons left in him. Hendrick is about to enter his prime. Its tough to say whos better.

alamantia 01-13-2010 06:11 PM

When you ask who is better no they dont. You go by save % because that is the only individual stat a goalie has to gauge himself. Every other stat involves the team.

Lets say your team gets 20 shots on goal in a game and does not score. And the opposing team gets 40 shots on goal and scores 1.

The game ends 1-0, whos the better goalie? The winner or the loser?

Frosty 01-13-2010 07:23 PM

Regardless of the team you don't break the records Marty has broken without being GREAT...not good or really good but GREAT.

Hendrick is almost great...he's not Marty though. Like I said though, if Hendrick actually had a team in front of him his stats would be even better.
