Quite a few of them have been made over the years, along with other sport car chassis- corvette, camaro, eagle talon, etc. As long as the body isn't destroyed they can always pull it off the truck frame and put it back on the TA frame. Just hose off the mud first. :)

hes got the t-tops off so all that mud is flying in lol

This was only really a "tragedy" if the T/A was in good shape. A lot of the cars that get converted have a terrible undercarriage beforehand.
