Brand?

Toshiba is FTW IMHO. I've got a 13.3 with dedicated AMD graffix and a duo core and 4 gigs of ram and just got my boss a 14.4 for $450 with entry level shared graphixs, t4300, and 3gigs. Super nice computers....

after reading more, I'd heard about this earlier. Definitely a nice surprise for people opening the box. I remember when I bought my laptop at a computer show I was messing with the display model and it was actually 2.2Ghz instead of the 2.0 the guy was advertising

Very nice, gotta love 4 gigs of ram

seems just as fast/if not faster than my desktop which is a intel C2D e6420. The specs of the laptop are better than the desktop I have except for HDD space and my desktop has a cheapo dedicated graphics card. I was streaming some 1080P HD youtube videos on a 42 in tv I have and the integrated graphics of the laptop streamed it with no problem. Definitely a laptop well worth $499. It seems that most laptops don't even come with a blu-ray drive yet. That was one of the main reasons I bought it.

ryanfx 01-31-2010 02:33 PM

Blu-ray drives for desktops are 100 bucks alone.. nevermind in a laptop =P

Yeah I strongly considered this as a desktop & laptop replacement but decided to just pick up a new battery for my current laptop to hopefully hold off for another 6 months or so, there are deals like this popping up about once a month so I'm sure another will come around when its time for me :D
