sony handycam question

i have a sony min-dvd handycam, model DCR-DVD203.

i want to transfer the pics/videos from the camera to my computer, but i dont have the software which i guess came with the camera. I was given the camera only. I have a USB cable that connects but when i do, the comp identifies the device as a dvd disc drive and that the disc is empty. Through the camera itself though you can clearly check that there are several things on it.

Im using windows 7 if it matters.

So what do i need to do to transfer files?
i tried just putting the mini dvd in my laptop, but it still comes up as blank. lol

that looks like it, but it depends on what version of W7 you're using.
