Truth Of BMW Rims on 3rd Gens

I heard that with a little boring out- BMW rims will fit 3rd Gens ? Has anyone done this?

not sure how safe that sounds. thats something youd want precise machining with.

3rg gen bolt spacing is 120.65mm, bmw is 120mm

bmw wheels bolt right on. dont bore anything. The studs are off .65mm which is really tiny, so whatever stress they put on the lugs in minimal. Its a pretty common wheel selection

I wouldnt use them personally, that just me. Never seen them cause a failure though.

i seen a few with BMW rims, looks weird plus BMW has like 20 different style of rims and finding the rite one for a 3rd gen is hard i would imagine.

People do it. I would not. At the minimum you need to use hubcentric rings as well. That assumes the center of the wheel completely clears the hub.

I would do it with good aftermarket wheel studs and hubcentric rings (if I found a set that I liked more than crosslaces ;) ).
