Soooo..... WHO'S GOT NO POWER?

well alot of Freehold was out since yesterday and I had to go to my Brothers house to hook my generator up to his house to run fridge/freezer & run the sump pump.

Had like 1.5 ft. of water in the basement.....uggghhh what a mess (finished basement!!!)

firehawk1120 03-14-2010 07:30 PM

probably everyone that isn't posting that normally does. hahahahah

Tsar 03-14-2010 07:31 PM

I'm watching someone's house, and they have power for now. They also have a generator if **** hits the fan. The pump has been going wild....

MyFirstZ 03-14-2010 09:01 PM

i was driving through north jersey in bergen county and three towns i drove to trying to find west wood lost power as i was going through.

Saw two trees that fell onto houses and coming to a traffic light it went out as i came to it

thunder 03-14-2010 09:33 PM

Ya all the lights around menlo mall were out. luckily my house didnt loose power. but sadly Seton Hall still has power. ****

Tru2Chevy 03-14-2010 09:35 PM

I know a few NJFBOA members in Ewing who were without power for at least a little while last night. Saw lots of dark neighborhoods on my way home from work last night.

Parts of Franklin Lakes lost power. Lights all around the town were out last night, roads closed, etc.
Oakland's fine though :)

T69SS 03-14-2010 09:44 PM

I lucked out, just lost power for a few hours on Saturday. There are people around my area that have been without power for almost 30 hrs

BigAls87Z28 03-14-2010 09:59 PM

Holy crap, well thunder and lightning is just starting to roll in. I didnt realize things were getting this serious!

bobb1589 03-14-2010 10:01 PM

my gf's power has been out in lawrenceville since 230pm yesterday... pse&g said won't come on until tuesday

The Fixer 03-14-2010 10:02 PM

We've had no power since 8PM on Saturday - I'm posting from my brother-in-law's computer. Gotta camp out here since our house is down to 58* inside - too cold for the little ones. PSE&G says power might be back on in our area of Bergen County by Tuesday. All in all, I still say we're lucky - our house is fine and suffered no damage. Amazing, considering the damage all around our area. Good luck and stay safe out there everyone!

where in w.long branch you @ BiGal? I was just on wall st. in W.lb yesterday, sold my rack from my old truck and had to deliver it. would have stopped and said hello and maybe picked up a filter & earl fur my truck.

Tru2Chevy 03-14-2010 10:05 PM

I think PSE&G is giving everyone the "Tuesday" answer. My friend in Ewing who lost power Sat. night got that (his power was back on this morning though), and we get an automated call from PSE&G every few hours at work to let us know that most of Princeton is without power, but it should be back up on Tuesday.

^ I bet Princeton will get its power way before other locations

MyFirstZ 03-14-2010 10:13 PM

was it because of the thunder and lightning, or the wind. I really didnt see much lightning but alot of wind and trees down

bobb1589 03-14-2010 10:27 PM

I think it had to do with the wind and stuff falling down. The power went out before any real lightning hit.

1/3 of the roads are closed around here due to the Musconetcong River burying bridges.

That same river is almost in my parents yard, might crest over the dock tomorrow. It looks crazy as hell how fast it's flowing now.

I have to say, JCP&L ftw. We never lost power :)

Just got back from picking up dinner from Hoagie Haven in Princeton. Nassau St. has power, but several of the side roads are completely blocked off. Still saw lots of trees / power lines down, and a lot of completely dark streets.
