are you going Active duty? or Guard? im a full time technician in the Guard and im engine shop too (Aerospace propulsion is a fancy tech school name)

But ummm yea this opast thursday I got stabbed and iv been in the hospital since so I have no idea whats going to happen with the air force. My recruiter hasnt gotten back up with me yet.

ugh that sucks, whats the name of the unit that you're joining? a stabbing shouldnt stop you from going in the military, just postpone it

I was a aircraft electrician in the navy. They were going to send me back to Iraq to disarm IEDS on the side of the road with the Marines!

His tech school is at Sheppard AFB in northern texas, and its the job that i currently do... and im in Iraq as i type this lol. but the good news is that by the time hes done school he wont need to come here. the bad news is that he will go to Afghanistan

I transferred into the AF Reserves myself last year from the Marines I will be in Lackland from April 28th to June this year. Good luck and congrats

Well thanks I got out of the hospital last week and have been healing up at my fathers. Ill be visiting my mom this friday for 2 weeks in NJ then back to NC for another 4 weeks before my last ultra sound/chest xray to determine if I am good enough to go to bootcamp soon their after!!
Earliest I can go is mid June or begining of July if all goes as planned then I can get that neat little flag under my name again :)

And jerzlt1 what planes are you working on, you like what you do, and afghanistan really now?

here was 2 days into my stay in the hospital and then 6 days later with a friend

i work on F16s and yeah i like it, it beat the hell out of being a crew chief ;) lol tech school was easy for me so hopefully you breeze through it too but a lot has changed in the last 5 years. and yes the ANG is pulling out of Iraq and its going to be active duty only here soon so there are rumors of Afghanistan or South Korea next. No one bother asking for details on that though :)
