Torque Converter Install Question
 
hey i put a th400 with a 4000 stall in my car today and a hughes performance flexplate, is the converter supposed to be as far back to the transmission as possible? i have never put in a transmission before and im not sure if i should run a spacer or not, the guy i bought it off of says he didnt run one but im not sure

I had about 1/8" clearance between the converter and bolted it up with out a spacer.
