good to see the hp battle is on

I'm a big fan of horsepower wars but this was a let down.... its just marketing bull *****. So.... there will be no change in performance figures....blah

“The 304 horsepower in the 2010 Camaro was actually a conservative rating on our end,” said Tom Sutter, GM V-6 chief engineer. “But we knew already that this award-winning engine produced at least the amount of power we stated, but now we’ve gone the extra step in certifying the engine for this application and have verified an additional 8 horsepower.”

Only sucky thing is.... both the v6 stang and v6 camaro can put a serious hurt on my dream car - challenger r/t... sigh

saw that lime green at the NY auto show today. not impressed at all by it.... ahh well

Synergy Green comes directly from Holden. Lots of people requested Holden paint colors, and we will probably see one every model year. IMO, fantastic idea.
If I win it big in Vegas...Ill keep the 72, do the body work, and paint it synergy green!

when are you ordering your camaro, al?

T69SS 04-08-2010 10:15 PM

Pretty cool. Although the Synergy Green does nothing for me

Im in love with this color. GM should offer it for all thier cars, if anything..they should offer it on Eco/Hybrid/Volt models.

edpontiac91 04-08-2010 11:02 PM

Sorry the Green Power is BARF Power.:barf: Your either gonna luv it or really hate it!

NastyEllEssWon 04-09-2010 10:23 AM

lol once again. gm didnt give the v6 nothing, they just confirmed the extra 8 ponies that were already there. as for telling ford to eat anything...the new v6 stang comes close to eating a ss camaro. its just all spin service now with them scrambling trying to figure out what to do now that the gt has the balls to back up its platform.

ford now owns the bang for your buck title. something the fbody was all about and recently departed with its new ''f car''.

BonzoHansen 04-09-2010 10:44 AM

Isn't the base V6 just under $23k?

So now what is it? The V6 "comes close to eating a SS" or it's now the biggest bang for the buck? Your dislike for the Camaro is well documented man but now you're talking in circles....we get it...you don't like the Camaro and most of GM.

when you offer a base model for half the price of a competitors top model and its only .4 seconds or so off from performance thats called a win. im sure with a few extra bucks you can get that v6 stang up to speed. better than spending 35k plus tax, tags, titles and dealer markup imo.

BonzoHansen 04-09-2010 11:02 AM

compare apples to apples at least. compare v6 vs v6, v8 vs v8, specialty vs specialty, etc. Come on

Half? A V6 mustang is $12,000?

thats the point. when a company offers a v6 base car that CAN BE COMPARED to the competitors top of the line v8 car you have a problem that 8 hp isnt going to fix.

Mike 04-09-2010 11:07 AM

still dont know how the v8 camaro starts at 40k?
