84 rear hatch
 

does anyone know how to adjust the rear hatch on a 3rd gen.? the rear spoiler lines up pretty good on the right side but the left side is at least an inch back too far. i see where the hatch can be moved left to right but i need to move front to back. any ideas? thanks

above the back seat is a plastic cover with 4 screws in it. undo those screws u will find 4 nuts to loosen. have someone push up on hatch from rear of car as u tighten bolts.if that doesnt work sometimes u gotta take hatch off and adjust the hinge bolts on window.if neither of those work only other way is to drill the holes where it mounts to body bigger. although i dont recommend that but sometimes if a new 1/4 panel is put on its put on incorrectly leaveing u with the problem u have. any questions just message me ill b happy to help. gl. p.s. if u do make holes bigger be sure to use some type of sealant around holes so u wount have leaks. forgot to add undo rear struts before u have someone push on it from outside lol
