I had a set of valve covers with that on it. They were the tall small block version of this:

They were built great but looked tacky as hell.

Lol, amazing...

well since the good old days of those catches jingles (you know the ones) gm has turned into the bleeding heart of america. id say ford probably owns the heartbeat of america moniker now. either way chevy's ''heartbeat'' has been replaced by a pacemaker a long time ago.

the point was that chevy is the last american brand that can claim to be the heartbeat of anything so it would be more out of place on a chevy than a dodge or a ford.

sweetbmxrider 04-25-2010 09:46 AM

your logic baffles me

NastyEllEssWon 04-25-2010 09:57 AM

well chevy doesnt keep america going anymore, america keeps chevy going. your lack of logic to grasp this concept baffles me.

BonzoHansen 04-25-2010 10:02 AM

stop trolling. it's obvious the point here is the moron dodge owner put a Chevy advertising saying on his truck and is therefore a moron and we laugh in his general direction. do you really need to derail every thread you can playing point-counterpoint? it grows old and you've already been warned on this.

Permaban? Please!

SteveR 04-25-2010 11:41 AM

Hmm. I think we should explore this slogan swapping. Here's a few-

Dodge- Heartbeat of America

Chevy- Drive one

Ford- Cross on the green, not in between

Isuzu- Army of One

Toyota- It's what's for dinner

im just saying, the chances of the guy who owns the truck not knowing its an old chevy advertisement are slim. i was throwing out the possibility that maybe he put it on his truck as a tongue in cheek joke towards chevy owners???

i might be giving the guy too much credit or you guys not enough, but an objective viewpoint ON TOPIC is reason for more warnings???

I miss the old "Heartbeat of America" campaign with the Bob Seger "Like A Rock" commercials

I actually thought the same thing, too. It is possible that the owner is very aware of it being a Chevy slogan and thought of it as an easy way to irritate Chevy owners...which apparently it is doing. Don't get me wrong, I think either way it is moronic.

i can see people doing that, but i would think anyone doing it as a joke would put the sticker on a window or somewhere equally simple to remove, putting it on the paint is a sign he wants it there a while...
