Lot's of other good products out there readily available that are better than this.

I've always wanted to try it, just for giggles.

Use any decent wax/polish often enough (every couple of months) and it will do the job, but it will NEVER last 1 year unless you keep it garaged and don't take it outside!

They should add to the bottle "No Applying."

maroman88 04-29-2010 09:13 AM

i have a bottle of it, use it for small scratches n stuff, never done a whole car

91chevywt 04-29-2010 11:45 AM

I've used it. They say it's not a wax but it sure does work like one. It comes off pretty easy thats why I liked using it. Better than using the cheap-o turtle wax, but I think just about anything is.

And no, it doesn't last a whole year.

BonzoHansen 04-29-2010 11:48 AM

6 months?

shane27 04-29-2010 12:34 PM

lol id definitely use it more then once a year but i just want to know if it works as good as wax.

what better products are there?

Back in 1988 I had a black/gold 86 iroc. One day I was out front of my apartment polishing up the car with nu finish and this old guy walks by and says to me "hey kid,you think you can get any more shine outta that car".I thought it was pretty funny cause the car was looking really good with a mirror finish.I still have a bottle in my garage

In the sense that you put it on, let it dry, then take it off and it makes water bead, then yes it's as good as wax

I have a bottle, used it a few times, but didn't like it. Didn't seem to last long.

Ive used liquid glass with good results.I believe there are 2 different ones by that name. The one with a corvette on the metal bottle is the best.Cost like 18 dollars back in the day.Not sure if its still around but I know I have at least 2 bottles left

I remember that! Thinking the bottles might be worth more than what is inside.

Quite honestly I like this stuff, and if you use it properly it lasts a good while. But as it says, its polish not wax... so use it as a polish. I do a lot of detailing on boats and have seen many people screw up and polish their boat thinking it was sufficent. Then a month later they have yellowing in their gelcoat. Simple enough any polish will do decent, and this stuff isn't too bad.
