B&M megashifter
 

just threw a megashifter on the camaro, is it something that the inspection station would frown upon?

when my car passed inspection it wasnt a problem, ive had it in my camaro for approx 7 years now and its starting to fall apart, i wish i hadnt installed it lol

Do the reverse lights and neutral safety switch still work like they would otherwise?

I had one when i had my 3rd gen.. your fine

i promise lol mine the lines didnt even match up with what gear you were actually in and something was wrong with mine cause it was reallly hard to get out of PARK.

so when anyone other than me drove the car they were pulling on it like a maniac to get it into drive... one guy actually broke it... and he fixed it better than new! lol

lol wata joke, u hafta keep adjusting the little nut n bolts that hold these on, its very easy to remove the shift boot for a reason, ive had people pull up next to me telling me my reverse lights are on.... or the car wont start

hmm mines been in the car since like 03 and no issues here, maybe you didnt adjust it correctly?

yea, ive had a b&m megashifter in my camaro for about 5 years. no problems with inspection at all. and as for teh "gear indicator" that shows what gear you are in...its very easy to adjust. just pull up the boot. back the nuts off, adjust it accordingly, and retighten it. the only issue ive ever had with it, is hte top t-handle piece was not STRAIGHT when tightened fully. so i j-b welded it so that it was straight. ive seen tons of megashifters in cars that the t-handles are all diagonal or spun vertically or even upside down and it looks wrong, so i jsut jbwelded it straight and let it set up. no issues since
