New toy for the summer

Just picked up a 2005 Yamaha V Star Custom 1100 with 2500 miles. Hopefully it will be my summer ride until i get the rear fixed in the T/A

Why not do both. I need something to drive while TA is down. The noises are starting to get annoying. So now I have to time to pull it apart and bit worry about finishing it fast

baddest434 06-05-2010 08:42 PM

very nice good luck with it.

Good lookin bike. I wish Harleys cost what an import cruiser does...

69BirdX 06-07-2010 11:06 AM

Import cruisers are better engineered. you couldnt pay me to ride a harley they are less american then any of the metric cruisers

deadtrend1 06-07-2010 11:09 AM

My Victory was born in Iowa or Wisconsin. One of those two, thats American enough.

greenformula92 06-08-2010 09:42 PM

clean looking bike. enjoy

Congrats man, I'd love to have a bike but I saw some stuff today that convinces me it's just not safe to have one in the area. People don't watch what they're doing when they drive. Enjoy it and keep safe bro.

JerzLT1 06-09-2010 10:57 AM

Nice bike man, let me know when you want to ride

69BirdX 06-09-2010 11:07 AM

Ive heard plenty of scary stories. Im always ready to cruise josh

DevilDougWS6 06-10-2010 05:57 PM

looks good all black, i still hate windshields on bikes, they not only look gay but take away most of the fun.

Sometimes I miss having one. It did make riding a lot more comfortable, but theres no way in hell a windshield would look good on my bike. 8-)

I like my harley, ive ridden plenty of imports and they are all the same. I just like how my bike has a huge aftermarket and plenty of backing from one of the oldest still running companies in the US.

not all the same by any means (unless you're talking about cruisers because i have no experience with them lol)

69BirdX 06-11-2010 02:10 PM

I dont hate harleys just hate the hype. They have made in usa on every harley product then you take it out of the box and its stamped made in china. Plus i saw my dad go through 3 motors on his harley. Plus you pay half the price for a metric cruiser for the same stuff. Not to mention most metric cruisers are water cooled.

As for the winsheild yes it does look gay but i bought the bike and it was on there. Havent decided if im gonna leave it or not but it is nice on rt 55 going to work
