Anybody have any recommendations as far as brands?
anybody heard any good or bad things?

personally i love my umi, seems a little beefier than the rest...

We are distributors for UMI and PA Racing.. Both are good quality companies.

PA racing is the lightest, its whats on my LT1 car

did you guys go with chromoly? how much lighter is it?

I will try and get some pics of it on the motor with headers etc tmmr for you.

Clears 1 7/8 inch headers no problem.

kinda weird question but any idea how much clearance there would have been if you used those pace uppsetters?

A lot, these are much bigger.

I run a Spohn on my car.....so far no complaints
