BigAls87Z28 08-13-2010 12:37 AM

Hey, who saw that the Yankees are still #1?

98tadriver 08-13-2010 12:57 AM

holy crap, i was at applebees and it wasnt looking too good for the phils when i left. thats awesome!

Frosty 08-13-2010 05:24 AM

Yeah, what a comeback. Their bullpen is still really shaky.

Hey Mets fans, are you still alive? I thought this year was going to be different since last year was so full of injuries

JL8Jeff 08-13-2010 07:23 AM

It was really the 8th and 9th that made it a great comeback. And the Dodgers never had another pitcher warming up in the bullpen, that's some stupid managing.

ha ha, mets. here is the latest mets news, as in the past 7 days:

*franceur wants to be traded
*k-rod was in jail the other night
*santana is getting sued for sexual assault
*reyes said he does not pay attention to every pitch throw when he is in the field

Slow-V6 08-14-2010 01:00 AM

Watched from the 5th inning on. Was thinking about turning the station after LA went up 9-2 but I felt there was going to be a comeback. How about all those beat LA chants. Felt like a NLCS game.

They do have our ticket for shutouts! Man Hamels can not catch a break at all.

Isn't that the truth....poor guy has pitched two gems in a row and walked away with a 1-0 loss

I know I'm late to this thread but I have to say that comeback was great.
I turned the game on in the 8th with 2 guys on and Werth at bat. I figured it was a blow out and I would just go to sleep at that point. After Werth batted I had to watch the rest.

I must say it was a typical Philly team drama win. Underdogs fighting back to do the impossible on the back of a guy they're getting rid of, Werth.

Not at Mets fan...but last night was fantastic. :moon:

Frosty 08-14-2010 11:38 AM

So when is A-Rod going to get busted again for cheating? ;):D

BigAls87Z28 08-14-2010 11:41 AM

I dunno, but Id say that the Yanks can pull down two more WS wins before that happens.

Dont be upset when the Muts shut you out. Whats worse is that...they only scored 1 run.

I seen the typical mets fan yesterday driving a V-6 mustang with a rainbow sticker on the side window and a mets sticker on the back.
I think he was heading to the shore.

I believe this is the 5th shut out of of the Phills this season, from just the Mets.
I couldnt help but notice that on ESPN this morning.

Frosty 08-14-2010 01:01 PM

Huh? 5th time the Mets have shutout the Phillies this year? WTF are you/ESPN smoking lol

BigAls87Z28 08-14-2010 01:21 PM

Thats what they said.

Frosty 08-14-2010 02:08 PM

Hmmm, I'll have to look at that when I get home tonight.

Flushing, NY (Sports Network) – R.A. Dickey threw a one-hit shutout and the New York Mets continued their amazing home shutout streak of the Phillies with a 1-0 triumph in the opener of a three-game set.

Dickey (8-5) bounced back from his last start on Sunday in which he gave up six runs against the Phillies on August 8. In Friday's game, he struck out seven and walked just one to help the Mets win back-to-back games for the first time since June 22-23.

Carlos Beltran drove in David Wright with a sixth-inning double for New York, which has taken six of 10 from Philadelphia this season. The Mets have blanked the Phillies all four times at Citi Field this year by a 17-0 count. Dickey helped the Mets to an 8-0 win over the Phillies in the opener of a three-game series May 25.

Frosty 08-14-2010 02:17 PM

Wow, no ****. I didn't realize that.

Ah well, still....the Phillies are in the middle of a pennant race again and the Mets are still garbage, so are their scumbag fans, lol

BigAls87Z28 08-14-2010 02:21 PM

Ahahah...well...cant disagree with you there.

Frosty 08-14-2010 02:22 PM

:D:D:D:

Slow-V6 08-15-2010 08:18 AM

Maybe the Mets would be a better team if they focused more on hitting the ball instead of hitting there girlfriends fathers!

Frosty 08-15-2010 08:26 AM

 Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiing
