That was probably the most high tech comercial of its time.

Jersey Mike 08-29-2010 11:42 PM

ditto on fatmaro.

btw, if that guy said "ca-marooo!" one more time I probably would have shot him.

BigAls87Z28 08-29-2010 11:58 PM

Whats funny is that in 1967, Chevrolet used Camaro's larger size as a selling tool, and not as a disadvantage.

Yeah, that and "It's got a partial subframe so it's got a big car ride!".

madness410 08-30-2010 10:55 PM

91chevywt 08-31-2010 01:15 PM

I always liked the old GM commercials. Especially the "Heartbeat of America" campaign

MaxTheKiing 09-01-2010 12:08 PM

I haven't seen one, mostly just general GM commercials, except for the few out there promoting the general passenger cars/suvs, and I don't even watch much tv myself. I think GM is focusing on changing their reputation. A commercial aimed towards the sports car market right now probably wouldn't be too wise. Anybody who would be interested in a camaro does their own research..it pretty much markets itself.

Its been discussed here 100 times now.

The new guy in charge of GM marketing said that there will be a Camaro commercial some time this month. Probably for Football.

To be honest, I dont see the need to spend money on the Camaro's advertising, showing burn outs and aggressive driving, talking about its muscle. People know what it is, so why spend the money on it.

There are a lot of Camaro print ads that were all over car rags.

On top of all that, the Camaro's demographic also is considered to be active in social media and targeted advertising (via cookies, etc). More effective than TV in some cases.
