seat belt guide question

i got my camaro and i noticed there was a seatbelt guide broken near the point where the seatbelt meets the point on the floor panel. but there are no holes in the top side part of the seat to screw a new one back in. i dont want to go poking holes in my leather seats just to find where to install a seatbelt guide. has this ever happened to anyone?

try checking the other side of the headrest? maybe they switched them by mistake?

negatory....maybe there wasn't a seatbelt shoulder guide installed but that makes no sense there's a broken one on the bottom of the seat belt so there had to be one at one point but there's no holes to install a new one. I don't want to poke around just to find where the holes are I think they'd ruin the seats. maybe that's what I may have to do. feeling where the seatbelt guide should go there's definitely a metal peice in there

yeah maybe the headrest was recovered. look at the passenger side for guidance. should be able to feel it out if you take your time.

yeah if I rub my fingers around it maybe I'll find the hole to stick it in

That's what she said.

Have you looked closely for any indication of a hole? There is a small tear in my leather, for example, and it is not noticable unless you feel for it. Can you show us pictures of both the seat, and the broken guide?

the upper seat may have been recovered at some point , since head rests are not removable on camaros

what exactly does recovered mean? just reupholstered?

ill get pics up later today my camera is at home im in a different state. meanwhile ill search for tiny holes...

yea, the side bolster was probably worn or torn and they had a new leather cover installed.

is it the driver side or passenger? if it was the driversside, than it makes plenty sense that the seat was recovered. Our bolsters wear out very quickly
