Gambardella's Dyno day

Put my 2500 HD on the dyno and put down 373rwhp 435rwtq with a cat back and a Larry's custom CAI. thinkin about taking it to the track to see how it does. If i had a scanner i would post up the dyno sheet

How is that even possible? Figuring 15% drivetrain loss, that's 429 hp at the crank. Stock you should be around 295-300 rwhp I figure with the same loss. So somehow it gained 70 rwhp and a buttload of torque? I love your truck but I'm calling the dyno as way off

Let him tell ya the whole story!

98tadriver 09-19-2010 05:33 PM

if it helps, when i dyno'd there last year, my z28 with a 01 LS1 put down 343/347 with just a lid, no muffler and a tune. i thought it was a lil high myself. i was running 12.2's @112mph with skinnies and only the spare and jack removed at the time

i remember my 98 put down 335/353 w/ full bolt ons with a tune at rpm in delaware

only thing im thinking is the truck sucked in some nitrous thru that custom CAI :D

See what happens when you have extra time and a dyno just laying around.

My little 5.3 was the ginny pig first it put down a whopping 227/292 non Larry's CAI and a respectable 352/433 with it almost got me thinking of putting one on the truck permanently.

JerzLT1 09-21-2010 12:07 PM

Thanks again Tommy for the tune, the truck feels so much stronger now. Hopefully more cars will come out next year for some more fun and some real dyno wars ;)

Twisted Minds Racing 09-21-2010 12:10 PM

No problem Josh no more pesky 98 MPH limiter

Ya next one will be a good time we will have to keep all who want to come out informed so the turn out will be better and no one feels left out:wink:
