If i was a tech inspector, and seen a alternator, I would probably want it wired through there also.

i saw a post on here not too too long ago where it had a diagram and it said you need to wire it to alt. http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=45149

Legally it has to be wired to the alternator.

The switch must cut ALL power to the car AND kill the ignition..

sweetbmxrider 10-17-2010 07:29 PM

if there is no belt on the car, the alternator isn't spinning so it can't produce power.

a tech guy will have you start the car then attempt to kill it with the switch. if it shuts off, you are good.

Actually came out cleaner this way. Tested it a few times, and it works for some odd reason. Damn odd.
