2000 accord (5spd) wont go into gear

hey guys

obviously i know this is an f-body form but maybe someone has an idea as to whats going on with my accord

i was driving down route 23 the other day and suddenly i could not get the trans to go into any gear, i was stuck in neutral.

thankfully i got into an empty parking lot and parked the car and turned it off. turned it back on and could not get it into reverse so i had the car towed home.

any ideas would be awesome, thanks.

clutch not disengaging I would assume

clutch cable or hydraulics?

can you put the car in gear when off, then try to start the car?

BEWARE! If your clutch is a problem there is the chance that it will take off on you

Most likely just the clutch cable coming loose. Not uncommon after clutch replacement, trans rebuild, etc.. Relatively simple fix.

shifter cable most likely

yeah the day it happened i tried a few times and it would make some really bad noises (clunking) and then turn off.

then i tried it in reverse and yes it kind of took off on me.

me and my uncle looked at it briefly. the master and slave cylinder both seem fine....so i assume its just the clutch cable then?

the clutch pedal seems perfectly normal
