2000 accord (5spd) wont go into gear
hey guys
obviously i know this is an f-body form but maybe someone has an idea as to whats going on with my accord i was driving down route 23 the other day and suddenly i could not get the trans to go into any gear, i was stuck in neutral. thankfully i got into an empty parking lot and parked the car and turned it off. turned it back on and could not get it into reverse so i had the car towed home. any ideas would be awesome, thanks. |
clutch not disengaging I would assume
|
clutch cable or hydraulics?
can you put the car in gear when off, then try to start the car? |

hahaha yes. but i was kinda assuming shane would realize this prior. :-D |
Most likely just the clutch cable coming loose. Not uncommon after clutch replacement, trans rebuild, etc.. Relatively simple fix.

shifter cable most likely

then i tried it in reverse and yes it kind of took off on me. me and my uncle looked at it briefly. the master and slave cylinder both seem fine....so i assume its just the clutch cable then? the clutch pedal seems perfectly normal |
