digital gauges?
does anyone have or know where to get the digital gauges that nordskog made when they were in business? someone on TGO said dakota digital makes them but i could only find the 82-89 style, i need one for my 91.
well, for anyone that is intrested and does not know, according to someone on TGO, intellitronix is in the process of bringing back the 91-92 digital gauge cluster that was previously sold by nordskog. still awaiting on a release date but should be close.

waiting...

Thanks man, I just spent 40 minutes reading through tgo and found that too... ordering a set next month!
I've never seen them before. Would be nice if I could fit them in my Trans Am somehow. I've been through 3 different speedometers, the little plastic gear for the odometer keeps breaking.
Theirs a pic posted on tgo and it looks awsome iv heard great things about them cant wait to get one in the car.
contact intellitronix and see if they would make on for the birds, id let them know that theirs alot of interest for them from you guys. |
i have Nordskog digi gauges on my iroc...they look great, but a few things annoy me..maybe once or twice a year..the gauges spazz out and go on the fritz and wont reset until i pull over, turn the car off, and restart it. the biggest issue with this is if i dont pull over and turn off the car within a minute or so, the odometer resets itself to some random number. really ****ing annoying. that, and my temp gauge is approx 37 degrees off at all times according to multiple temp tests..
in conclusion, they look badass, but could perform better... |
Hrmmmm....is this a drop in unit? This might be a better road to take instead of cutting up my 87's Dash.

direct factory replacement would be odd, considering that is a digital display, and Camaro's till 90 had mechanical hook ups. Wouldn't be a drop in unit. Also, what other modifications must be done to make it work?
I cant seem to find it for sale anywhere. Ill keep looking on TGO. |

http://www.intellitronix.net/sixgaugepanel.jpg dakota digital makes one too http://www.dakotadigital.com/cartimages/prd_zm_168.gif http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod/prd168.htm here are the instructions for the DD version http://www.dakotadigital.com/pdf/vfd3-g.pdf The DD version seems like a cooler unit and they have been in business for years. Performance readings · High speed recall. This is reset at power up and can be manually reset. · High rpm recall. This is reset at power up and can be manually reset. · 0-60 mph (0-100kmh) time. · ¼ mile time. · ¼ mile end speed. This is reset when the ¼ mile time restarts. there is a a decent amount of wiring involved |
Why don't they make cool stuff like this for cool 4th gens?
I have the DD THX analog gauges in the 69 hopefully you guys will be able to see them next weekend, from what I have seen and heard DD has a great rep
I dont like the DD set up, but the other one looks better overall. I like how the lights to indicate speed and rpm are in an arc, not in a line .

But Im thinking next year I'm visiting This page right here You can use any gauge you want. |
I think you can get it a few bucks cheaper than what Hawks has it for.
I still kinda like the digi lay out... |
Emailed them, no response. I noticed on the DD units, speed indicator goes up to 80mph? Silly gauge...
Still no response. Friggin huge let down...
Try calling it works way better with small companies
I just cannot believe that it is this hard to buy a set of gauges. Its 2011, get your damn internet game up.
So you didn't call?
Emailed me back...working on it. Now, I need to find my receipt for the speedo i bought from work.
