anyone got this new "KiK" thing? its like BBM kinda. its pretty cool. i downloaded it yestaday and ive been using it instead of txting. if you got it post up your username!

i dont get why everyone had to get a kik.. couldnt you guys just use aim mobile? everyone already an aim SN ... its a fad it will soon die

aim is a pain. moving stuff to smartphones is the way to go, and I dont think AIM has the ability to catch up...

im saying you can get aim on your smartphone... theyre just trying to mirror bbm

I'm fine with bbm and texting. There are too many IM clients to keep in touch with everyone, otherwise.

W.T.F. is KIK? I dont know what aim sn is either, but I know thats been out for a while cause always heard it.
I know I'm old but I would like to stay in the "loop" of things. from what I gather it has to do with cell phones.
(i do have one of those !!! lol)

So can someone explain this, I can barely get through the internet (besides this site & porn sites):nod: as it is, but I use the chet out of my cell phone.

It's an IM client, just like aim, bbm, etc. Nothing more, nothing less. It's even marketed as "real time texting"................... :lol:

aim is AOL INSTANT MESSENGER. it was made back when aol was out for people without aol to talk to people that had aol. when aol died, aim stayed and tons of people have it.


sn is just internet lingo for screenname. i agree theres too many different clients for this type of thing. why cant just anyone send texts to phones like they did before???

Kirk, I believe you have a Blackberry? It would be like Blackberry Messenger, only for everyone with Android and iPhone as well as other smart phones. I hate using AIM mobile, Kik so far has been pretty cool. Ill see how she does on the battery life tomorrow.

Well, I guess I don't have a "smart phone". I have a Lg Chocolate touch. I get a new phone like evry 2 months due to the business I'm in.
(the dropping cell phone 2 stories business)

Easier to use? You can still dial a number and call it. They're both that simple :)

downloading it now.. but did anyone try the "tiKL - touch to talk" app. its like a walkie talkie.

I got it, not very impressed yet but its ok.
So far just suggested people who numbets are already in my contact lists

Also heard it drains battery fairly nicely. I have no use for it. I text enough as it is :lol:
