Peeeeyewwww!
I knew it wasn't good when as I was sitting here in the house and started to smell a skunk. The dog was in the backyard but she never came running to the back door. She finally showed up at the door and man does it stink outside! She didn't take a direct hit, but there was definitely a skunk nearby. She smells pretty bad so it got into her fur. Time to fire up the incense!

i dont mind the smell of some skunk

my dog got sprayed right on the face one time. it was a cross between burnt rubber and foul onion. we bathed him immediately but basically had to wait until the hair grew out. every time he got wet it would bring the odor back, sucked so bad

Yeah, our other dog got sprayed directly and it took 6 months to finally wash out of her fur. I found the spot in the yard where she was sprayed when I mowed the lawn, it released the smell from the grass for several weeks.

you gotta bath the dog in Tomato Soup. Im serious im not joking, my Dad's dog back in the day got sprayed and he said that she smelled fine after being bathed in the Tomato Soup and then a nice bath after that to get rid of the Tomato Soup smell.

Actually, Mythbusters did an episode on the skunk smell and tomato juice and it doesn't do anything to get rid of it, it just masks the smell more than anything else. Luckily our dog wasn't that close this time, you can't even smell it in her fur even out in the rain yesterday.
