Here's a "money-saving" tip, which is also a gas-saving tip. Wait...that makes this a 2-for-1. A tip that saves a tip!

Turn your car off—while it's still moving. While the American Automobile Association warns against this technique, some bloggers are promoting it as a way of saving gas. By using the car's momentum to glide into parking spaces or move downhill, you can get where you're trying to go without burning any fuel. Just make sure you practice driving without power steering and power brakes in an open space before experimenting near other cars—or people. And never try this at high speeds, even though some blogs recommend it—it's too dangerous.

no mention of turning the key too far and locking the steering wheel. Nice.

ive perfected this technique with my dad's old Chevy celeb. if you turned the wheel all the way and were going <5 mph she would stall.. often while parking lol...

wouldn't putting a car in neutral at speed no longer operate the trans pump? i mean that doesn't sound too good. at high speed, you will also double or triple the rpm's of the various components and sooner or later cause catastrophic failure. i do like the cookie idea though!

I do that in my driveway ... and in parking lots ... big deal?
