Question about bolt pattern
 

I am selling a set of snow tires. I have a guy that's interested and he's asking me if the bolt pattern is 5x110. What's the 110 and how do I know/determine if my wheel is that measurement? The tires are on a standard set of 16x6.5 steel wheels.

you probably get it now but in even simpler terms for anyone else...

5x110 translates to...
5 being number of lugs,
110 being millimeters between the center(except in 5 lug as shown in above picture) of the two furthermost lug holes.

also a lot of times the second number is given in inches for the majority of american cars, with a chevy camaro for example being 5x4.75"(5x4 3/4") (or 5x120.7mm).


with 16x6.5 those are diameter and section width, used to tire sizing
(even though OVERALL diameter and width is slightly larger due to the lip that holds the tire on)

then theres also offset( could be 0, + or -) and then back spacing...

So all I do is just measure the distance from back to center of the two adjacent holes and convert to millimeters?

well do you know what the wheels are off of? thats the easiest way right there,

and for 5 lug youd measure from the back of one hole to center of the hole across, not one right next to it. and yes, then convert that to MM, but youll have to be exact since like i posted, some are like 120.7mm which isnt the same as 120mm.

The guy that is interested just told me he wants them for his Cobalt SS/SC, which is what I use to drive. So no need for any measuring now. But this is good info for the future.
