gearing +n2o question
hey i am in the process of ordering a new 12 bolt from moser, i am not sure what gear to run i have a th400 and i want to run the most gear possible, i have a 4000 stall, and bolt ons slicks and skinnys, lots of weight reduction, and a 150 dry shot i want to run 4.11's if possible but im not sure if itll be enough on n2o?
thanks for any input |
Look in the 3.70 range and a 28" tire.... but every car is different...

it'll also depend on the amount of converter slip that setup will have. I would go 3.70's just to play it safe. If you still want more gear, you could always step it down to a 27" tire.

Figure out where you think the car will trap, max RPM for the engine, and what size tire you're going to run. With the little info you posted, I'd guess a 3.73 with a 28" tire and 3.55s on a 26" tire. This is assuming stock cam.

thanks guys ill probably end up going with 3.73's then

Why dry?

You can run as much as you would like dry... I wouldnt try to do it on a stock fuel system at all... |
