VA beach trip?
 

So my spring break plans feel through. time to make new plans. I wanna get a group together and drive down to VA beach. its pretty close and its always a good time. i wanna make this like a 4 day trip. Anybody down?

Hmm i never actually considered that a place to go for fun. Usually I go to the Outer Banks a little further south.

Is there anything even going on in VB that early in the year? We made a bad call in college and went to myrtle beach for spring break and it was best. not far enough south.

well thats kinda how it ended up...

A long time ago, in 1999/2000, a friend and i were planning to go down there to meet his GF, and her friend who i had been talking to a little. But the day before we were set to go, My friend and the girl broke up. However the girls still wanted me to come down, and being that i was more of an acquaintance than a friend with the kid here, i said sure, but told him i wouldnt. I drove about 5 hours to get there in my 95 Cadillac STS, raced an 84 SVO stang outside richmond(he blew his motor trying) then i got to VA beach met up with the girls, went to a local mall there for lunch. We had burger king at the food court, hung out some more, then i headed back home. About an hour after i left there, the kid calls me asking if i went down there, I said no and that i was at my sisters in PA. He didnt believe me soooo, i called my best friend and had him sign on AOL(yes that long ago) and "pretend" he was me. By being on the phone with him while he was me online, i told him what to type to convince the other kid that i couldnt be on the road if i was online at my sisters. That was a fun drive. A few months later I lost touch with the girls, not a clue what they are up to now(neither are on facebook), and my original "friend", not too long ago got arrested for hitting his now-ex wife in front of their son....

they have a big boardwalk car show around the spring break timeframe. There is also the Neptune festival which is pretty fun. We are going downt there Easter weekend and staying in williamsburg.
